Seek and you shall find. Be true to yourself! Do not chase the goal itself but the feeling of accomplishment. The moment you realise you are your own worst enemy, you will be able rise above the petty things that once bothered you. Be confident and know what you can attain. I have one motto – No regrets! And people never regret the things they did but the things they didn’t do.
1. Your hopes and ambitions.
Everybody dreams of doing something big. Absolutely no one believes that they were born to be mediocre and live an average life. Every single person hopes that they can change the course of history. However as people ‘grow up’ they realise that they may never achieve the things they hoped for. This is where they are absolutely wrong! I truly believe that the biggest factor between success and failure is persistence. So don’t be average! Don’t give up on your hopes and ambitions.
2. Your dreams.
Success comes to those who work hard and never stop believing in themselves. Remember this – If your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough. We are all in the same boat and we are all scared of never being able achieve all that we want to. Never give up.
3. The perfect job.
It is darkest before dawn so before you even think of giving up, consider this: the perfect opportunity might be right around the corner! Sometimes circumstances are such that we have to take up a job or an opportunity for the sake of earning a living. But sooner or later the tides will turn and luck will once again be in your favour. It is just a matter of time. Strive to achieve excellence in whatever you do.
4. The one for you.
Just because some two bit loser broke your heart doesn’t mean someone else will too. Don’t be that person. Don’t build a wall around yourself and not let anyone in just because you were hurt once. Consider it as a learning experience and move on. Look for that one person who makes you happy and encourages you to be yourself.
5. Your to-do list.
Everyone has a bucket list. I do too and if you don’t have one make it now. List down everything you want to but never had the time to and then go do them. There’s no time better than right now. Always wanted the perfect body? Get up and push yourself because before you know it you will be too old and life will have passed you by.
6. Your passion.
If you’re really really lucky you can convert your passion into your vocation but not everyone has the liberty to do that. I love painting and I’m really passionate about it but I’m definitely not good enough to become a professional painter. However, when I do find the time, I get out my canvass and paints and just get immersed in the art world for a while.
We’ve all heard the quote that no one’s perfect but that doesn’t mean you should stop trying and maybe someday you might get pretty damn close.
Are you an adrenaline junkie? Do you love to travel? Then never ever stop chasing an adventure. It is what will make your life eventful and exciting to live. Sky dive, bungee jump or go on a back packing trip across Europe. Do whatever you want. Do not get tied down to your desk at work. You have but just one life so live it to the fullest.
7. Changes you want.
Be the change you hope to see. Sometimes it is possible for just one person to make a difference. It has to start somewhere. The only thing constant in our lives is change and if you are unhappy with something in your life then leave no stone unturned in trying to change it.
8. The end goal.
Everyone has a reason for doing the things they do. Maybe you want a retirement home by the beach or you want to write a best seller. Either way always keep your eyes on the ultimate goal. Model your life around what you eventually hope to accomplish and the entire universe will conspire to make sure you succeed.
