Freedom of Expression in India is provided by the Constitution under articles 19, 20, 21 and 22. It simply means that every citizen has the right to put forward their thoughts in public without any fear. However, with the emergence of several political parties, both in the national and regional levels, the concept of Freedom of Expression and Speech has been changing!
It is also clearly stated –
Freedom of speech is the concept of the inherent human right to voice one’s opinion publicly without fear of censorship or punishment.
“Speech” is not limited to public speaking and is generally taken to include other forms of expression.
